Henna Moon Brochure - KitThis week I released my new brochure and Henna kit. Henna kits include 35 grams fresh powdered Henna, a vial of cajeput oil, storage bag, applicators, closures, instructions and sample designs. All this for only $13. Fresh Henna stored in the freezer will make much darker designs than anything that sits on a shelf some where. Come by next weekend to the Bellingham Farmer’s Market and get yours!

I spent most of Saturday at the Farmer’s Market, much to my delight, playing with the multitude of children I invariability collect. This Saturday grew a garden of children, cultivated by Mother’s love, the Waldorf School and rain, sun and more rain! Three lovely girls Willow Moon, Meadow Rose and Iris helped me so much catching my fly a way signs and papers and kept me laughing all day. My sweet flowers encouraged me to decorate some rocks with Henna and glitter. we had a great time with this as they had to go in search of rocks for me to decorate! It was also a unique way of showcasing the art! I’m going to bring some bigger rocks next week :) (See my flicker site for more Farmer’s Market Photos)
Two of these flowers belonged to “Holly’s Dollies” (no website unfortunately). Holly makes the most beautiful handmade dolls I have ever seen they look so comfy and cuddly! They all all handmade with recycled cloth or knitted materials (no voc’s or plastic).and they are very well made She also makes all the hand knitted/sewn clothes for the Dollies. I recommend you come and see her for a truly unique and remarkable toy.

Many folks came out this week and got to connect with some old friends and Henna clients! It was so great to hear your stories. One family was from a private Henna party back in January 09 when the next day, they travelled to the Caribbean. I was informed that my designs lasted a the full two weeks and a couple of them even got the reverse tattoo effect. That is when the Henna stained skin acts as a natural sunscreen, so as it fades a white negative of the design may result. It is a very cool effect. If you tan well over the summer, consider having a Henna to experience it yourself.

Next weekend should be sunny and warm (one can hope!) So dust off those sundresses and sandals and come get some Henna!

I hope to see you all at the next Farmer’s Market April 18. Have a great week!
