Lately husband and I have been watching the HBO Miniseries “John Adams”. I’m so amazed what people were able to accomplish without flush toilets and running water. Seriously though, I’m so grateful to our forefathers for our independence. However imperfect, they sacrificed much for what we have today. One of my favorite quotes from Adams was “I must study politics and war that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. So that their sons [and daughter’s] will have the freedom to pursue art and poetry.” I’m pursing that very thing, thank you!

I’ve been a very busy bee since I wrote last, please check out my all new flicker page which I revamped and added a lot more photos for you to look at. On June 20, Midsummer, we Drove to Eugene, OR. There I Hennaed the belly of friends of mine about to have their 1st child. We almost didn’t make it in time as the false contractions had us thinking she was having that baby that day!
Then onward to Ashland, Oregon for the RawUnion festival. Ashland was beautiful, the food was amazing, I felt incredible eating it and I was re-inspired to gain better health. I discovered this fabulous website RAWFU http://www.rawfu.com/. They have a fantastic online community of people supporting each other in good health. Recipes, photos, ‘facebook’ like interface, everything! Check it out if you are interested.
I had a Henna Healing booth at RawUnion and I felt it was a big success. I really enjoyed connecting with people and helping them with their various transitions. (More to come on Henna healing at this website soon.)

This Saturday I’m back at the Bellingham Farmer’s Market and I am very excited. One of my favorite holidays and there are many events going on in town and I hope you make the market one of your stops! This weekend I will have a new addition to my booth, Lately I have been so busy at the market I have reluctantly had to turn people away. Luckily Jenny Gerfen has come into my life and has agreed to work with me at the market. She is a great artist and has a style all her own. Her positive and bubbly personality fits right in with me and I know you will love her too. Come see me and meet Jenny. I miss everyone; I sure hope I will see you there. I’m only bringing Red, White and Blue glitter and we are going to have a rockin’ time. Whatever you do decide to do I hope you enjoy your weekend! Yours Chele

Wasn’t today a trip? Rain, sun, rain the day could not make up its mind.
Today I got to do a beautiful Belly, Baby bump. Oh this young lady was so sweet and gentle. She is very excited about her new little sweetie. Who by the looks of it is going to be very healthy and very happy. We did a new moon, lotus and spirals. Symbolising a new beginning, prosperity, vitality and health. She was very beautiful and her baby kept kicking at me
I love hennaing bellies.
She had sadly lost her 1st baby to SIDS. I felt the need to approach this Henna as a healing event. Using the symbolism of New Moon for new beginnings, Lotus for health, growth and spirals for vitality. My intentions during drawing where all on a healthy vibrant Mamma and Baby!
Tomorrow is the big day the big sunny Day of the Farmer’s Market! break out the sundresses and shorts and I hope to see you there!

We are the universe made conscious. It wants to experience it all, every aspect and permutation of life. Here’s the kicker, all..at…once….I am you, you are me, we are the trees, rocks, all creatures, fire and the sea. See yourself in their eyes. Blessed Ostara, time to awake .. time to grow.
It’s mid spring, Equinox the bulbs are coming up, the buds are on the trees, getting ready to burst. Flowers spiraling out from the bud.
This Equinox was very busy but a relaxing one so I was encouraged. The Equinox is about balance so I decided to start with yoga. Bikram Yoga is about the best thing I do for myself. So cleansing and it makes me straighter so I can bend over and do Henna for hours on end. After a great class I was treated to a massage to heal my RMS (repetitive motion sickness) in my arm and shoulder. I felt very relaxed after and ready for my Crystal Healing from Owl House Crystal Solutions. Kristine from Owl House, is amazing and clued me in to a lot about myself I needed to know. I’d recommend her. She does online readings, and readings in person out at Wise Awakenings. After which I was blessed to go to Lummi Isle and do some henna healing.
Lummi is rain in the sunshine, rainbows, laughter and puppies. A healing spiral for a Goddess. I spent a fine day with her and her family. A doting husband and two sweet giggling children. She is very lucky to have so much love and support. The Henna (pictured) was designed to move the energy of her pain though and out of her body. It was an enlightening and loving experience.
Later I went to The Compassion Concert’s dress rehearsal. The music is very meditative and enlivening. I most enjoyed hearing the silence between the notes. When you listen to music like that it seems as if the music bursts from the silence and as if it is being birthed. The Concert is tonight March 21 at the Whatcom Museum Rotunda at 7pm. I hope to see you there.
I plan to spend this day out in the sunshine with my family I hope you enjoy your day as well. Everyday is a beautiful day and today just proves it! Have a great one.
