Hey hello everyone! I know it has been awhile since I have blogged.. been low as of late, missing good friends but it is now Mabon or the Fall Equinox and the wheel turns. The Moon is new and things can always get better. Deep breath in, breathe out, repeat until done. Everything is as it should be. Blessed Be.
Currently I’m in Atlanta for a SharePoint Conference or “geek” Heaven or Hell depending on who you talk to. Luckily two Henna artists near and dear to my heart live in Atlanta and were sweet enough to come see me last night.
Barbara of “Admired Beauty” and
Samantha from “Henna Odyssey”. I had the pleasure of meeting them in California at the Henna Caravan conference. Barbara arrived covered in hers and Samantha’s beautiful Henna designs. Samantha was Henna-naked and ready for painting. We went out to dinner to get reacquainted and then were attacked by a parrot before we returned to make with the Henna! I wish my window could open as the Atlanta night was filled with sweet sounds of what Samantha calls “an abundance of critters”.
I was so honored to design Sam some slippers and Barbara gave me 2 beautiful designs on my foot and hand. Barbara also make beautiful jewelry of which I was gifted a piece. Soon she will be up and ready to sell. They are both so talented! Too soon the night was over. I miss them already. We had such a great time. I gave Samantha my “Kree cone” as she has issues with RMS as well and now I do not have Henna to play with for the rest of my stay. :( (Come back Girls!!! I miss you already!) It was bittersweet visit as I wish they lived closer and hope (hope hope) they will come out my way some day. I tell you what, I will be seeing them at any conference they intend to attend. I love you ladies!
I’ve worked the last 2 weekends at the Farmer’s Market and this weekend, September 26 will be my last Market day until Halloween. Mabon(fall equinox) and Samhain (Halloween) are my favorite holidays and I will be doing it up for the booth this year as market day actually falls on the big day. After Oct 31, my Market season will be over but I believe the BFM continues until mid December. There you can find many many gifts for your loved ones. Also gift wise, I suggest you check out Etsy. Etsy is a fantastic site full of homemade and handmade goods from all over the world. On Esty there used to be a “buy local” special search. I can’t find it now but how cool if you could keep to your searches in your area. A fine site to spend money on. In December I will blog more about local gift giving and gift making as I am a firm believer of staying away from the “soul sucking mall” as much as humanly possible.
On Flickr I have posted many new photos for you to play with … I hope I will see you this Saturday for More Henna fun. Here’s some love for you from Atlanta!

Hello all I hope you had a wonderful week. It was sure a beautiful one! This week has been super busy for me. I had the Market Saturday where I did some really great work and had only a tiny bit of memory on the camera to take photos~! I did lots of feet this time and really enjoying it!
Then I had another private party and pregnancy belly!

I just love doing Bellies!..
This weekend will be the beginning of a 3 week break from the Farmer’s Market. I will not be back until July 4th. I decided I needed a change of scenery.
Instead come see me this weekend at the Woodside Spiritual Center’s Metaphysical Fair and Silent Auction. This will be 8 hours of spiritual awakenings! Come see Tarot readers,
Crystal healers, massage therapists, Aura readers and much more. I will be offering Henna healings and Mainstream Henna as well. The event is free admission so please come and join us!

What a day! Bubbly conversation spilled out of Mallards as I exited the Yoga studio today. Ice cream was at a premium as the day that was beautiful and warm ended with a fantastic sunset. Tomorrow should be one of the best Summer days so far this year and I’m so excited to work the Farmer’s Market. I should be easy to find this weekend because I just committed and bought my 1st 2×5 sign. It’s huge! I can’t Wait to show it to everyone. I got it from Signs By Tomorrow on Ohio and they did a stellar Job. You ever need anything over there just ask for Chas or Gwen they did and incredible job and were very kind to me. The quality is excellent and I’d recommend them. Come see me and the new digs tomorrow. My booth at the market is on the outside facing Boundary Bay. So remember to walk around the outside of the market where there are some wonderful flower vendors on my row, cotton candy fresh cheese, greens and much more. Come on doen you knwo you “gotta get a Henna!” Thank you for buying local! See you at the Market.

Welcome to Saturday and what a fine day! The sun is shining, birds are singing.
Birds seems to be a theme with me lately. Birds are great parents, they work and sacrifice so much for their children. Last week I did a Bird and spider for a Mother and son. The Farmer’s Market is about to begin and tomorrow is Mother’s day. There are so many great things at the Market that I know your mother would love! Henna is a wonderful way to mark the occasion. Treat your Mom to a small party or come down and see me at the Farmer’s Market today for a Mother’s day special. Sons and Daughters, bring your Mother’s down and get her Hennaed. She’ll love it! Blessed be Mothers.
What ever you do today get out in the sun if you can and remember to call your Moms tomorrow!

May 1, 2009 ~ Happy Beltane everyone! Today was a beautiful sunny day, as you well know. I sure hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I ended up making Henna, trekking in the Stimpson and even had a visit from a couple of Faeries! My peach, cherry, pear and apple trees are blooming and so is the woodruff. Tomorrow I will be at the Market again, then to the Procession of the Species and a May Pole Dance in the country. A full day! Happy Blessed Beltane weekend!
I’m voting for sunny weather tomorrow for the Farmer’s Market.. how about you?
See you soon!

My favorite part about working the Farmer’s Markets is meeting all the great people (characters) that live in or visit Bellingham. Sara who was twitterpated with her peacock and Rand the BadA** Grandpa and his Granddaughter getting their Henna on. I also get so many visits from supportive friends. Thank you so much, it makes me very happy and I really appreciate seeing you. The glitter and Henna flew as my booth filled with so many cute and intelligent children, so many happy and smiling adults. I’m sure the sunshine helped! There was so much good music from the Buskers and beautiful veggies and crafts surrounded me from the other vendors. I wish I had had the time to see it all. Today looks a bit rainy at the outset but I have hope the sun will come out for the Farmer’s Market again today. The best part of my job is the smiling and the laughing. I look forward to more of the same today. See you there!
I’m bringing new glitter colors to shine in the sun!

Got fresh Henna will travel!
Yesterday I made Henna, I love my Henna. I used organic volcano lemon juice, dried limes, chai tea, brown sugar and whole cloves. For essential oils I used naroli, cajeput, eucalyptus. To bless the Henna I added a drop or two of frankincense and fir tree. It mixed up real smooth. I’m so looking forward to the Farmer’s Market.
Saturday is opening day. I’m looking forward to a great day, full of sunshine, music and great people. I hope to see you there.
