Love HennaWhat a day! Bubbly conversation spilled out of Mallards as I exited the Yoga studio today. Ice cream was at a premium as the day that was beautiful and warm ended with a fantastic sunset. Tomorrow should be one of the best Summer days so far this year and I’m so excited to work the Farmer’s Market.  I should be easy to find this weekend because I just committed and bought my 1st 2×5 sign. It’s huge!  I can’t Wait to show it to everyone.  I got it from Signs By Tomorrow on Ohio and they did a stellar Job. You ever need anything over there just ask for Chas or Gwen they did and incredible job and were very kind to me. The quality is excellent and I’d recommend them. Come see me and the new digs tomorrow. My booth at the market is on the outside facing Boundary Bay. So remember to walk around the outside of the market where there are some wonderful flower vendors on my row, cotton candy fresh cheese, greens and much more. Come on doen you knwo you “gotta get a Henna!” Thank you for buying local! See you at the Market.

Bird and spiderWelcome to Saturday and what a fine day! The sun is shining, birds are singing.

Birds seems to be a theme with me lately. Birds are great parents, they work and sacrifice so much for their children. Last week I did a Bird and spider for a Mother and son.  The Farmer’s Market is about to begin and tomorrow is Mother’s day. There are so many great things at the Market that I know your mother would love! Henna is a wonderful way to mark the occasion. Treat your Mom to a small party or come down and see me at the Farmer’s Market today for a Mother’s day special. Sons and Daughters, bring your Mother’s down and get her Hennaed. She’ll love it! Blessed be Mothers.

What ever you do today get out in the sun if you can and remember to call your Moms tomorrow!

dscf5001-2May 1, 2009 ~ Happy Beltane everyone!  Today was a beautiful sunny day, as you well know. I sure hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I ended up making Henna, trekking in the Stimpson and even had a visit from a couple of Faeries! My peach, cherry, pear and apple trees are blooming and so is the woodruff. Tomorrow I will be at the Market again, then to the Procession of the Species and a May Pole Dance in the country.  A full day! Happy Blessed Beltane weekend!

I’m voting for sunny weather tomorrow for the Farmer’s Market.. how about you?

See you soon!

Glitter PeacockMy favorite part about working the Farmer’s Markets is meeting all the great people (characters) that live in or visit Bellingham.  Sara who was twitterpated with her peacock and Rand the BadA** Grandpa and his Granddaughter getting their Henna on.  I also get so many visits from supportive friends. Thank you so much, it makes me very happy and I really appreciate seeing you. The glitter and Henna flew as my booth filled with so many cute and intelligent children, so many happy and smiling adults. I’m sure the sunshine helped!  There was so much good music from the Buskers and beautiful veggies and crafts surrounded me from the other vendors. I wish I had had the time to see it all.  Today looks a bit rainy at the outset but I have hope the sun will come out for the Farmer’s Market again today. The best part of my job is the smiling and the laughing. I look forward to more of the same today. See you there!

I’m bringing new glitter colors to shine in the sun!

Wasn’t today a trip? Rain, sun, rain the day could not make up its mind.
Today I got to do a beautiful Belly, Baby bump. Oh this young lady was so sweet and gentle. She is very excited about her new little sweetie. Who by the looks of it is going to be very healthy and very happy. We did a new moon, lotus and spirals. Symbolising a new beginning, prosperity, vitality and health. She was very beautiful and her baby kept kicking at me :) I love hennaing bellies.

She had sadly lost her 1st baby to SIDS. I felt the need to approach this Henna as a healing event. Using the symbolism of New Moon for new beginnings, Lotus for health, growth and spirals for vitality. My intentions during drawing where all on a healthy vibrant Mamma and Baby!

Tomorrow is the big day the big sunny Day of the Farmer’s Market! break out the sundresses and shorts and I hope to see you there!

Henna Moon Brochure - KitThis week I released my new brochure and Henna kit. Henna kits include 35 grams fresh powdered Henna, a vial of cajeput oil, storage bag, applicators, closures, instructions and sample designs. All this for only $13. Fresh Henna stored in the freezer will make much darker designs than anything that sits on a shelf some where. Come by next weekend to the Bellingham Farmer’s Market and get yours!

I spent most of Saturday at the Farmer’s Market, much to my delight, playing with the multitude of children I invariability collect. This Saturday grew a garden of children, cultivated by Mother’s love, the Waldorf School and rain, sun and more rain! Three lovely girls Willow Moon, Meadow Rose and Iris helped me so much catching my fly a way signs and papers and kept me laughing all day. My sweet flowers encouraged me to decorate some rocks with Henna and glitter. we had a great time with this as they had to go in search of rocks for me to decorate! It was also a unique way of showcasing the art! I’m going to bring some bigger rocks next week :) (See my flicker site for more Farmer’s Market Photos)
Two of these flowers belonged to “Holly’s Dollies” (no website unfortunately). Holly makes the most beautiful handmade dolls I have ever seen they look so comfy and cuddly! They all all handmade with recycled cloth or knitted materials (no voc’s or plastic).and they are very well made She also makes all the hand knitted/sewn clothes for the Dollies. I recommend you come and see her for a truly unique and remarkable toy.

Many folks came out this week and got to connect with some old friends and Henna clients! It was so great to hear your stories. One family was from a private Henna party back in January 09 when the next day, they travelled to the Caribbean. I was informed that my designs lasted a the full two weeks and a couple of them even got the reverse tattoo effect. That is when the Henna stained skin acts as a natural sunscreen, so as it fades a white negative of the design may result. It is a very cool effect. If you tan well over the summer, consider having a Henna to experience it yourself.

Next weekend should be sunny and warm (one can hope!) So dust off those sundresses and sandals and come get some Henna!

I hope to see you all at the next Farmer’s Market April 18. Have a great week!

Got fresh Henna will travel!
Yesterday I made Henna, I love my Henna. I used organic volcano lemon juice, dried limes, chai tea, brown sugar and whole cloves. For essential oils I used naroli, cajeput, eucalyptus. To bless the Henna I added a drop or two of frankincense and fir tree. It mixed up real smooth. I’m so looking forward to the Farmer’s Market.Henna Love Saturday is opening day. I’m looking forward to a great day, full of sunshine, music and great people. I hope to see you there.

Healing Spiral Step 3

We are the universe made conscious. It wants to experience it all, every aspect and permutation of life. Here’s the kicker, all..at…once….I am you, you are me, we are the trees, rocks, all creatures, fire and the sea. See yourself in their eyes. Blessed Ostara, time to awake .. time to grow.

It’s mid spring, Equinox the bulbs are coming up, the buds are on the trees, getting ready to burst. Flowers spiraling out from the bud.
This Equinox was very busy but a relaxing one so I was encouraged. The Equinox is about balance so I decided to start with yoga. Bikram Yoga is about the best thing I do for myself. So cleansing and it makes me straighter so I can bend over and do Henna for hours on end. After a great class I was treated to a massage to heal my RMS (repetitive motion sickness) in my arm and shoulder. I felt very relaxed after and ready for my Crystal Healing from Owl House Crystal Solutions. Kristine from Owl House, is amazing and clued me in to a lot about myself I needed to know. I’d recommend her. She does online readings, and readings in person out at Wise Awakenings. After which I was blessed to go to Lummi Isle and do some henna healing.

Lummi is rain in the sunshine, rainbows, laughter and puppies. A healing spiral for a Goddess. I spent a fine day with her and her family. A doting husband and two sweet giggling children. She is very lucky to have so much love and support. The Henna (pictured) was designed to move the energy of her pain though and out of her body. It was an enlightening and loving experience.
Later I went to The Compassion Concert’s dress rehearsal. The music is very meditative and enlivening. I most enjoyed hearing the silence between the notes. When you listen to music like that it seems as if the music bursts from the silence and as if it is being birthed. The Concert is tonight March 21 at the Whatcom Museum Rotunda at 7pm. I hope to see you there.
I plan to spend this day out in the sunshine with my family I hope you enjoy your day as well. Everyday is a beautiful day and today just proves it! Have a great one.

Henna Coffee LoveThanks to her Highness and Grand Web Mistress Amber B, the Henna Moon Website is up and running smoothly again, and with a whole new look! Have a look around and come back and visit often as the new format will allow me to make frequent updates. I want to thank and congratulate Amber for all her hard work on this beautiful website. (More about Amber to come on links page) . I also want to thank my beautiful models, (one who is for the moment choosing to remain anonymous), for all she went through for that one lovely photo. And last but never least our lovely Goddess Moon, Henna Moon’s full moon photo is from the The National Optical Astronomy Observatory website or the NOAO (http://www.noao.edu/image_gallery/html/im0650.htm) isn’t it glorious? Thank you ladies from the bottom of my heart!

This year is gearing up to be a busy and fulfilling one. The Farmers Market is just around the corner and should prove to be an enriching experience. I love Bellingham folks and I’m looking forward to spending time with all of you. I’m working on some healing Henna for 2 different ladies one with chronic arthritis and one with endometriosis.
